I'll definitely take that as a compliment, although for this favorable piece, I used my niece, Jacqueline. At the age of 8 she was able to give me this remarkable gaze. I took her photo outdoors and used the photo as reference when I painted the original with crushed pastels, guache, prismacolor pencils, and acrylic on illustration board.
