She was often courted by Hollywood producers to star in American films, but would always turn them down do to the stereotypical roles she was expected to perform. I was introduced to Mexico's silver screen actors by my parents at an early age and since then have had great admiration for these cinematic icons. This image of the Mexican starlet was originally painted on mounted watercolor paper with acrylic, pastels, guache, and prisma color pencils.
